F.lli DEMARTINI’s roots are to be found in Orero, Val Fontanabuona, near Genoa, where for over 50 years the company has been operating in the field of slate extraction and processing. The company was founded in 1954 by the four Demartini brothers Antonio, Giovanni, Auro and Gian Battista. Thanks to a well-targeted business strategy and the sound professionalism which has always been its trademark, it has consolidated its position over the years as market leader in the production of semi-finished and finished slate products for the building and architectural industry (flooring, paving, cladding, and roofing, stair treads, window jambs and door posts, chimneys, etc.) and slate boards, which it exports worldwide.
F.lli DEMARTINI today is synonymous with guaranteed quality and efficiency on the National and International marketplace.
Thanks to a sound investment plan, the company has a modern, efficient structure with which it can monitor the entire production process in total autonomy. The organization comprises a large extraction site for the supply of material and a three-tier production facility, of which two units handle conversion and processing and one packaging and storage. The administration offices are housed in one of the first two units.
Besides these infrastructures, the company has all the facilities required to carry out each and every phase of production: machinery for extraction, heavy duty equipment for the excavation and handling of raw materials, crane and hoisting equipment for moving, lifting and storage, sawing machinery for slab production, machinery and equipment for the production and dressing of finished product.
All work processes are carried out with modern numerically controlled machinery which allow for a substantial reduction in production time, favouring quality and world market competitiveness.
